A cargo plane linking Germany and Lithuania crashed early this Monday, November 25, in the morning near Vilnius airport, killing at least one person, according to a provisional report from firefighters.

According to some sources, it was a plane from the delivery company DHL. In images relayed on social networks, we can see an incandescent plume of smoke and numerous emergency vehicles trying to intervene to provide assistance to possible victims.

“The plane was supposed to land at Vilnius airport and crashed a few kilometers from the airport,” Renatas Pozela, head of the fire and rescue service, told reporters, adding that one of the four members of the crew was found dead.
