Death of Lalla Latifa: Brice Oligui Nguema presents his condolences to Mohamed VI

Mohammed VI, King of Morocco, has lost his mother, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Latifa. The sad news was announced by the Royal Palace, which took the opportunity to present its deepest condolences to His Majesty the King.

“The spokesperson of the Royal Palace announces, with immense sadness and deep affliction, the death of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Latifa, may God have mercy on her, this Saturday, 22 Dou Al Hijja 1445 H corresponding to June 29, 2024,” states the official press release from the Royal Palace.

On Facebook, Gabon’s transitional president, Brice Oligui Nguema, offered his condolences to the king and his family. “It is with deep sadness that I learned of the death of Her Royal Highness, Princess Lalla Latifa, mother of His Majesty King Mohammed VI,” the Gabonese president said.

“On behalf of the Gabonese people, the Government and in my own name, we extend our sincere condolences and solidarity to the Royal Family. May the Almighty grant them eternal rest,” he wrote.
