Maine-et-Loire. Since yesterday, Saturday November 23, the Solidarity Christmas Boxes operation has been launched

On November 23, 2024, the 5th edition of the Solidarity Christmas Box collection was launched in Maine-et-, an initiative now carried by the slogan “become creators of happiness!” “.

This action is supported by the association L’Emoi de l’année. Its office is made up of seven active members to which are added several dozen volunteers to lend a serious helping hand during the months of October to December.

Solidarity Christmas Boxes are boxes prepared between the end of November and a little before Christmas by individuals, schools, sports clubs, associations or even company employees for people who live in a situation of precariousness or isolation with the hope of bringing them a little joy at the end of the year.

These boxes have a shoebox type format and all contain five gifts: a warm “thing” (hat, scarf, hot water bottle, sweater, etc.), a good “thing” (chocolates, candies, spreads), a beauty product ( perfume, organic soap, aftershave), entertainment (book, game, toy, cards, crosswords), a little sweet word or drawing, poem.

Submission before December 18

In 2023, the Emoi of the Year was able to collect and redistribute more than 5,000 boxes! And this year, the members of the office hope to do even better and above all to succeed in honoring all the orders.

To take part in this great action, alone or with your family, all you need to do is make one or more boxes and drop them off at one of the collection points open to the public before December 18, the end date of collection.

To find out the collection points, consult the association’s website: https//: ww.boitesdenoel49.fr
