Awarded by readers and highly coveted by publishers, the Public Prize of the Angoulême Comics Festival (FIBD) was put on hold during the 2019 edition. This disappearance was short-lived, since it was back in 2020 under the colors of Télévisions.

This prize, thanks to the passion and demands of its jurors, has already awarded five young authors whose comics are representative of the richness and diversity of young French-speaking creation!

  • 2020 winner, Chloé Wary pour Rose season (FLBLB)

How does it work?

A selection jury composed of journalists from France Télévisions specializing in books and comics, will read the comics from the official selection of the Festival during the month of December. At the end of December, they will choose the eight titles in competition for the Fauve – France Télévisions Public Prize.

This selection jury is chaired by Augustin Trapenard (La Grande Librairie, France 5) and composed of Camille Diao(C this evening – France 5), Francis Forget (France Info culture), Eric Guillaud (France 3 ), Isabel Hirsch (France 3 Poitou-Charentes), Anne-Marie Revol (Franceinfo canal 27), Adrien Rohard (Telematin – France 2), Noemie Roussel (Rdigital editorial manager Culture Department, Culture Prime – France Télévisions) et Raphal Yem (France Televisions)

A popular jury composed of nine readers from , chosen following our call for applications, will receive the 8 comic strips in competition at the beginning of January.

On February 1, it will meet behind the scenes of the Angoulême Festival which takes place this year from January 30 to February 2 to deliberate, vote and elect its winner.

The same evening, our popular jury will present its prize to the winner during the Fauves Ceremony of the Angoulême Festival!
