“You usually only see this in movies!” : a driver misses a roundabout, crosses a fence and crashes into a store

While the events may seem like a scene from a movie, they are very real. This Saturday, early in the afternoon, a man who was driving in a small town near the coast of Brittany missed a roundabout and his vehicle crashed into a DIY store, says West France.

“It’s not common”

It was around 1 p.m. that the car, a BMW, crashed into the Espace Émeraude business, in Milizac, near Brest. Before arriving there, the driver had missed his roundabout and then crossed a fence before finishing his journey in the store, in the back of the shop, specifies the local daily.

“You usually only see this in movies!”launched the manager. “It’s not common”, he continued. He had to close his sign while the firefighters intervened, who had to extract the vehicle. No less than 13 firefighters were present, accompanied by law enforcement.

However, the driver of the crashed car was slightly injured in the collision and was taken to hospital in Brest. According to the manager of the DIY store, he appeared “sounded but not too bad”.
