“Stress, when we are not equipped to manage it, can have serious consequences: burn-out, exhaustion, illness…” Audrey Le Roux knows something about this. After being during 9 years decoration journalist in the Paris region9 years during which she experienced “psychological abuse”, the one who lives today in Clisson (Loire-Atlantique) decided to give up everything to turn this unbearable experience into strength.
“The world of quality of life at work always came up in my thoughts”, recontextualizes this mother of two children who declared during these difficult years multiple sclerosis which she thinks is correlated to her experience. Especially since today she is much better psychologically, she is in remission, “which is quite rare with this disease”.
Became trainer in stress management at workAudrey Le Roux shares her advice on how to better identify and manage pressure from professionals.
I realized that many adults cannot talk about their emotions. This is particularly why I wanted to make this book for children. Because if we teach them to equip themselves early, they will become adults who are better able to cope with stress.
A resource book for 7-11 year olds
For two years, she worked on writing this book entitled “Stress, not even fear”, aimed at 7-11 year olds. “A theoretical age group but it can also very well be useful before or after”, assures the one who collaborated with a young illustrator, Lucien Rollinso that the most complex concepts, even popularized of course, are even better understood by the youngest.
“We explain what stress is, what the sources of stress are at school and we give tools to learn how to manage them,” summarizes Audrey, who claims not to have made a book about it. scientist.
For me, it is a resource book that deliberately does not mention the medical side, because I wanted it to be fun.
THE numerous illustrations and comics who dot the work are there for that. “The idea is really that it can be a means of communication between children and parents.” Educational support too. “At the very beginning, I wanted to do workshops in schools on stress. But I wanted to have something to fall back on. That’s how this book idea was born,” explains the 38-year-old trainer.
A crowdfunding campaign launched
An idea thattoday it would be necessary to materialize with a publication. And this is where the call for crowdfunding comes in. “We would need €3,900 for it to see the light of day. This amount includes printing costs, Ulule platform costs, VAT, compensation for donors and remuneration for us,” Audrey lists.
A book “made by a Clisson”
At the time of writing, a little less than €2,700 has been collected, knowing that the collection ends in a few days, Thursday November 28 at midnight. “I sincerely hope that we will be able to complete it, otherwise all the contributors will be reimbursed and we will start from scratch,” fears the trainer, determined in any case not to let herself be defeated.
“If it doesn’t work, I will do differently by relying on corporate sponsorship,” she envisages. “If we only count the printing costs for 200 worksthe amount to find will be less, around 1 500 €“. Knowing that Clissonnaise absolutely wants her book to be printed locally. “It will be made in Clisson, it’s obvious for me to get local actors to work.”
