Almost two years ago, the rehabilitation work was launched. In the Saint-Sauveur district of Flers (Orne)where the former site of the Lehugeur-Lelièvre association was located, which later became Normandie Générations, a new building fits into the landscape of the Coulée verte.
Ce Thursday November 14, 2024the first part of the associations village was inaugurated. An event organized with a delay of approximately nine months : in question, a water leak occurred upstairs. “Everything was flooded, fortunately the companies were very responsive to solvethe problem,” says Dominique Armand, deputy mayor in charge of heritage.
“Create synergy and make the connection”
If the incident pushed back the opening date, it did not increase the invoice. “Everything was covered by insurance,” reassures Dominique Armand. The restoration completed, this end-of-construction incident is now ancient history . Over the past few weeks, around fifteen associations have taken possession of the premises.
“Here, we can accommodate 900 people,” announces the deputy mayor, appointed head of the ceremony in the absence of Yves Goasdoué. Reception and sharing space, shared rooms, private offices… This first building offers a new place adapted to different uses.
Our objective is to create synergy: to create a link between the different associations, whether they work in the world of work, volunteering, support or the associative sphere.
Here is the listassociations hosted in this first building: the Pays Bas-Norman, the reception of French towns (AVF), the Red CrossA2S (formerly of Sonofoque), the inter-ages university (UIA), the La Lyre choir, United for children, Vie Libre and the CFTC, CFE-CGC, FO, CFDT, CGT, CGT Indecosa unions.
For Flers, a bill that exceeds €760,000
Faced with the many people who came to attend this inaugurationDominique Armand recalled that this was the first phase of work on the associative village. “The sequel will make it possible to rehabilitate the three other buildings on the site in a cascade. »
The second phase will concern the two buildings located in the northeast, then the third will refer to the largest building located in the southwest.
Furthermore, the “Charcot” building, located near the BMX terrainwas also rehabilitated this year. After the details of the construction schedule, it's time for financial explanations . “The overall cost of this first tranche amounts to €1,331,659.38 excluding tax,” notes the deputy mayor.
With subsidies obtained to the tune of €570,000 (regional fund and city political allocation distributed by the State), the rest at your expense for the City of Flers represents €761,659.38.
A building in the colors of the City
Beyond its location which will “energize the neighborhood”, the unifying side of the place has been widely highlighted. “Here, it can be done a sharing of ideason social problems,” says Isabelle Rioux, Flers-Argentan sub-prefect.
With Catherine Meunier, regional advisor, the two women noticed one of the subtleties of this village of associations: its warm tonesnamely orange and red. “These are the colors of the City of Flers, also used for urban furniture», explains Dominique Armand, with a smile. “Nothing was left to chance. »
