The events occurred on the night of Thursday November 21 to Friday November 22, around three in the morning.
The storefront of an establishment located in the industrial zone of Bastia was damaged by an explosion.
According to our information, an explosive charge was placed in a fire extinguisher in front of the entrance to the Le Phoenix bar.
On site, the first observations are underway.
“An investigation was opened on the charge of damage by dangerous means. indicates Jean-Philippe Navarre, public prosecutor of Bastia, confirming “the use, in circumstances as yet undetermined, of an improvised explosive device at the expense of a business, the detonation causing slight damage without causing any injuries.”
Only the front of the bar was damaged, no damage was noted inside the establishment.
The investigations were entrusted to the interdepartmental direction of the national police of Haute-Corse.
