The alert was given at 6:45 p.m. for a house fire in the Denin city, in Nesle-Normandeusei (Seine-Maritime). When firefighters arrived, they discovered a house on fire and a victim already deceased, found charred. A major device was deployed, mobilizing 34 firefighters, 12 engines and a command post.
Emergency services extinguished the fire using three fire hoses and carried out reconnaissance to prevent any spread to adjoining homes.
The fire was brought under control around 10 p.m., but the toll was heavy: the victim, finally identified, was a 73-year-old woman with a disability. Unfortunately, she could not be saved.
