Philips Hue Secure camera products are currently being updated. The secure cameras firmware version 1.2.26 (877000) began to be released on November 18, bringing a series of improvements to these smart home products.
The version 1.2.26 patch notes indicate that the Philips Hue team has been working on improving the success rate of clip downloads, as well as the stability of the Bluetooth connection. The motion detection function has been optimized, reducing the number of accidental lighting-related triggers. Additionally, the functionality of the Setup button has been improved, although the company does not specify what has changed.
Additionally, there are two updates for non-wired devices, like the Hue Secure Battery Camera (currently $139.99 at Amazon). According to the changelog, the camera restarts less often when it disconnects from the Internet or when the speaker is active. Rumors suggest that another update could launch later this month, bringing better integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Home. However, Philips Hue has not yet officially announced a release date for this update.
