Dupont talks about his special reunion with an Argentine player

The XV of is preparing to conclude its fall tour this Friday, November 22 at the Stade de France against Argentina (9:10 p.m.). A special match for Antoine Dupont, captain of the Blues, who will face his Stade Toulousain teammate, Juan Cruz Mallia, for the first time. If Antoine Dupont and Juan Cruz Mallia usually share the red and black tunic of Stade Toulousain, this summit meeting will offer them a new experience: that of being opponents. “We have a lot of room for each other,” the French scrum-half had fun. “We’re very friends and we hang out together a lot off the field, so there’s a lot of room for room. But, it’s still good-natured. I know him by heart and I know that he will be 300% and that he will not give me any gifts”, affirms Dupont in comments reported by La Dépêche du Midi.

Mutual respect between the two teammates

During the last Franco-Argentine duels, each time, one of the two was missing. This time, they will both set foot on the pitch at the Stade de France. At a press conference, Antoine Dupont was complimentary towards his Argentinian friend, highlighting the latter's many qualities. “We know what he is capable of, whatever position he plays. Beyond his physical qualities, he has a knowledge of the game which allows him to be good in all situations,” admits Antoine Dupont who knows that this reunion will be special between the two teammates and one-night adversaries.
