As I announced to you in my previous column, I participated in the Corrida d’Aulnay on November 11. I take part in this 10 kilometer race every year and I admit that it was a nice little wink. I was indeed able to ensure that I am in my seventh month of pregnancy: calm pace, in jogging mode. I was there with my club and since we were running in tandem, the race organizer gave me bib number 2. No time goal for me, but several girls from the Pack were aiming for around 54/55 minutes. I took on the role of the hare, I took them in 55 minutes, so an average of 5 minutes and 30 seconds per kilometer. We all stayed together from start to finish, it was a very beautiful moment.
On the other hand, I also told you about a cross country the day before, on November 10, but ultimately I passed on it. The course was not stable and I am already a little unbalanced with my big belly, there is no point in taking risks. However, I went to encourage my friends and, while I was there, I did my 10 kilometers of jogging while the participants were warming up!
It does me a lot of good to run, I still do four or five runs a week without forcing myself. My father installed the home trainer bike at my house, but for now, it’s gathering dust! I’m lucky it’s happening like this, the other pregnant girls in the club hardly run anymore.
Lately, I’ve had some big weeks with the arrival of the baby approaching. We had to organize the room, collect clothes, put them away… I did that for a whole day, so I won’t hide the fact that afterwards, I didn’t put on my sneakers! It doesn’t matter, I don’t have any goals, I’m going to leave competition aside now, it’s the right time and that doesn’t worry me. On the other hand, it’s not because I no longer have a bib that I won’t be there: I’m going to go and encourage my friends. Being a spectator is great too!
Come on, my next debrief is in two weeks! Be BLOCKED!
