New start for Ubisoft's game
Not everything will be resolved with this new update, Ubisoft indicating for example that problems with Windows 11 24H2 are still present, but the update nevertheless aims to make the experience more pleasant for a majority of people.
The infiltration aspect of the game is still the focus of the fixeswith the ability to move more discreetly in union territories within cities, while you will now be better alerted when an enemy has detected you. The biggest difference, however, comes from the fact that infiltration will no longer be a prerequisite to successfully complete certain missions. Drew Rechner, the new creative director, now wants to give the choice between a stealthy approach and a more direct one in most quests:
« This doesn't mean that stealth is no longer a viable or even preferable option in some cases. On the contrary, if you get caught sneaking, the objective will not fail and return you to the last checkpoint. Instead, you'll breeze through combat. We know that many of you enjoy the stealth approach, so it was important for us to preserve this style of play while giving you the freedom to decide how to approach each mission. Ultimately, you'll have the choice of sneaking, going into the fight first, or, my personal preference, sneaking around until you're caught and then fighting your way to the exit. »
Shooting phases are also improved with the presence of weak points on the different opponents, to better reward precision. It will also be noted that facial animations have been reworked and that lighting parameters have been added. The complete patch note for this new update can be found on the official Ubisoft website.
