This Thursday, a large part of France was placed on orange “snow-ice” vigilance. This is particularly the case in Côte-d'Or, where the first snowflakes began to fall at the end of the morning. Météo France noted “up to 3 to 5 cm of snow in Burgundy”. The alert is valid until Friday at noon. This meteorological episode had direct consequences on the roads this Thursday. Also, around 2:30 p.m., the Côte-d'Or Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis 21) carried out an initial “bad weather assessment”.
Accidents in Auxey-Duresses, Pasques, Pommard and Glanon
Firefighters responded to four accidents. Around noon, in Auxey-Duresses, a car ended up in a stream, without however causing any casualties. Around 12:15 p.m., in Pommard, a vehicle, the only one involved, was involved in an accident; an injured woman was transported by firefighters. Around 12:45 p.m., in Pasques, an accident occurred between three cars; “a woman was taken care of by the firefighters”, specified Sdis 21, and two men involved did not require treatment by the emergency services. The last significant road accident took place around 1:15 p.m. in Glanon, involving a heavy goods vehicle. “Traffic was closed,” said Sdis 21.
The latter also meant that posted guards were set up in the barracks of Fontaine-lès-Dijon, Châtillon-sur-Seine, Pouilly-en-Auxois, Nolay, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Seurre in order to be able to intervene at faster.
Accidents on the A6
For its part, Bison Futé reported, at the beginning of the afternoon, three accidents on the A6 motorway near Thorey-sur-Ouche, Bouze-lès-Beaune and Pouilly-en-Auxois. There were also some on the A31 in Fauverney. Without much surprise either, slowdowns and traffic jams are to be deplored on many roads in the department.
