Born in 1964 in the southern suburbs of Paris, Serge Lehman immersed himself in the world of science fiction as a teenager, a genre then booming in France, symbolized by Hurling Metal. While still in high school, he began writing short stories and stories for comics. In 1990, he published his first novel with Fleuve Noir and, six years later, he launched the trilogy F.A.U.S.T.which establishes him as a notable figure of the genre.
Serge Lehman, renowned screenwriter, collaborated with Enki Bilal on the film Immortel Ad Vitam in 2004, adapted from the Trilogy Nikopol. After co-creating the Flambant 9 collection, he published The Chimerical Brigade, awarded the Grand Prix de l'Imaginaire in 2009. He continues to explore the genre at Delcourt with works such as Masked and Metropolis. In 2018, Lehman joined forces with Frederik Peeters to The scribbled man, followed by Saint Elme in 2021, two acclaimed graphic novels.

The winner of the René Goscinny Prize for Best Young Screenwriter was awarded to Elizabeth Holleville, for her work Tales from the Attic, produced with Iris Pouy, and published by L'Employé du Moi.

Elizabeth Holleville, born in 1988 in Nantes, is a comic strip author trained at the École Estienne then at the EESI in Angoulême. After her studies, she collaborated on various fanzines and magazines such as Biscuit et The Red Rope. In 2018, she released her first album, Ghost Summer, at Glénat. His second work, Filthy!, released in January 2022 also by Glénat. Currently based in Toulon, she is working on a new horrific album planned for 2025, still with Glénat.
Created in homage to René Goscinny, emblematic figure of comics and co-creator of Asterix, this prize aims to highlight the often overlooked work of screenwriters, essential to the creation of a comic book work. It was relaunched in 2017.
For the 2024 edition of the René Goscinny Prize, Julie Birmant won the Best Writer prize for her comic strip Dalí – T.1 Before Galaillustrated by Clément Oubrerie and published by Dargaud. The René Goscinny Young Screenwriter Prize is awarded to Simon Boileau for La Ridea work illustrated by Florent Pierre, also published by Dargaud.
