A man and a woman were arrested Thursday by investigators from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) in connection with the hostage-taking that resulted in the death of a 29-year-old man in Saint-Malachie, in Chaudière-Appalaches, last February.
The 33-year-old woman from Quebec City is due to appear in the morning at the Quebec City courthouse on charges of kidnapping, sequestration and aggravated assault, according to the Sûreté du Québec.
The man, also in his thirties, was released after being questioned by investigators. The SQ indicates that, since February, 13 people have been arrested in this case.
