Black Friday 2024 is (already) here. If you're looking for a PlayStation 5 before the holidays, now's the time to scan the prices! First promotions are already online on the PS5 Pro! Rakuten is therefore offering a 10 euro coupon, bringing the price of the console down to 789 euros. On the other hand, no miracles for those looking for an optical CD drive, which complements the PS5 Digital Edition and PS5 Pro which do not have one. However, a better opportunity will present itself soon. Since the start of the week, rumors have been circulating about a possible future price drop on the PS5, in its Slim and Digital Edition versions. The Japanese brand finally confirmed this future promotional operation via a post on the official PlayStation blog. These offers, not yet detailed, will begin very soon, on Friday November 22 and end on December 2, assures Sony. The date of November 22 is not insignificant since it corresponds to the Friday preceding the “real” day of Black Friday, scheduled for Friday November 29, 2024… Consoles, games and accessories are concerned. A new Fortnite pack will also be offered. As a result, the Japanese console could benefit from a promotion of around 75 euros compared to the current price according to Dealabs.
The PS5 is available in several versions: Standard, Slim and Pro. The Standard was the very first generation, followed by the Slim version (finally smaller) and the more powerful Pro version presented at the start of the 2024 school year. Each console therefore has its price. The cheapest PS5 console remains the so-called “Digital” version which does not have a disc reader and which only allows you to play by downloading your games from the internet. This is also the case for the much more expensive PS5 Pro, which caused people to cringe at the release of this boosted console at a very “premium” price…
What are the prices of the new PS5 Pro?
We should probably not expect very big promotions on the new PS5 Pro, released at the start of the 2024 school year. Merchants could, however, offer some packs and special offers, with accessories such as a 2nd controller included. The “official” price displayed is 799 euros.

In addition to the arrival of a new PS5 Fortnite bundle, Sony is also confirming future promotions on PlayStation Plus subscriptions during PlayStation Black Friday with up to 30% savings on the 12-month subscription. Subscribed players are not left out. The Japanese brand specifies that “current subscribers to PlayStation Plus Essential can save 25% on the remaining duration of their subscription by opting for PlayStation Plus Extra”. Same thing for the latter, “PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers can save 30% by upgrading to PlayStation Plus Premium/Deluxe.” These offers should appear on the PlayStation Store from November 22.
