Volkswagen marks a decisive turning point with these announcements. By making the ID.3 more accessible thanks to substantial price reductions and by adding technological optimizations, the German manufacturer confirms its desire to make electromobility accessible to as many people as possible.

Volkswagen is not only reducing prices, but also enriching the ID.3 range with new versions. The range is now made up of the ID., Pro, Pro S and GTX finishes.

New versions of the ID.3 and significant price reduction across the range

The entry-level ID.3 Pure model is available for just €33,990, after the bonus. With its small 52 kWh battery, its range is 388 kilometers WLTP. The engine offers 170 horsepower.

The Pro version receives a new 59 kWh battery instead of 58 kWh in the past. It is priced at €35,990 in basic finish, bonus deducted. The Pro S version with its 77 kWh battery is sold for €38,990 after deduction of the government bonus. Its price has fallen by more than €1,300. These two versions have a power of 204 horsepower.

For its part, the sporty GTX version is finally available to order. After being offered on the ID.4 then on the ID.7, it joins the catalog. Its price is €46,990, excluding bonuses. Its range now reaches 604 kilometers thanks to a new 79 kWh battery. An even more exclusive version will arrive soon with a power of 326 horsepower, the GTX Performance.

Enriched equipment across the entire range

The charging power is also increasing, going up to 185 kW on the GTX and 165 kW on the Pro instead of 120 previously. Several optimizations are announced on the range with a new softwaresoftware integrated and a battery preheating function.

The Pro and Pro S versions can benefit from a software upgrade to increase their power and torque. It goes from 204 to 231 horsepower and gains 45 Nm of torque. This option is available for monthly or annual rental. It is possible to opt for a definitive purchase for €755. It remains to be seen how this will be approved in France.
