The firefighters were called this Friday, June 28, 2024 at around 4:20 p.m. for an accident between a motorcycle and a van at Le Chevrie, in Balazé (Ille-et-Vilaine), on the Montautour road. The two vehicles collided, “practically a frontal collision”explains Lieutenant Vincent Béasse.
“The driver of the motorcycle, a 35-year-old man, was seriously injured, but his life is not in danger.”, adds the firefighter. He was airlifted by Samu to Rennes University Hospital. The Smur de Vitré was also on the scene.
Very shocked, the driver of the van was not injured in the accident. The 64-year-old man was not hospitalized.
Eight firefighters from Vitré were mobilized on site, alongside the gendarmerie.
