Mila: “I thought we were going to take care of it. She was dead.”
Following her speech, the victim, Mila, affirmed that “after the accident, my husband was always there for me, close to me. Perhaps he hid his pain too. There were many moments when I wanted to leave, to separate (from my husband) (…) I no longer felt ready for this future that I had waited a long time for.”
“I've had a lot of nightmares since the accident. I have a face for the person who is involved, knowing that the trial is covered in the media,” she added. Concerning her two-month-old daughter, Mila confided that she “loves her very much, but it is very difficult to hold her. My partner is there to support me, at least for the period when she is little.
In tears, the young woman recalled the loss of her baby, Solin. “When Solin was born, I was in total denial. For me, I had just given birth. Solin, I carried her in my arms. To me, she was sleeping. I left her in a room. I thought we were going to take care of it. She was dead.”
