President Jean-Pierre Vaur brought together his steering committee and the licensees to take stock of the season and prepare for the next one. The president has taken charge of the destiny of the club for six years, this Cycling enthusiast has never stopped pushing the club to the top, formalized a mountain bike section, attracting young people, retaining their loyalty and again this year attracting feminine. The club has more than 40 licensees (mountain bike and road) and defends its colors well beyond the department. Two essentials are the exchanges with Mèze and the Ronde Naucelloise (mountain biking, cycling and hiking). It requires strong mobilization from the club in terms of signage and marking.
The mountain bike section, supervised by Ronan Douls, works well, with outings and training supervised by club members. The financial report presented by Thierry Auger is in balance, synonymous with serene management. The president spoke to highlight a young person who, already in 2023, was starting to perform. In 2024, Théo ranks 1st in the Ufolep departmental championship, 2nd in the Region and 3rd in France.
The president distributed some federal distinctions synonymous with involvement with young people. The recipients are as follows: Lilian, Benoit M., Bruno, David, Benoit A., Thierry, Laurent. Another for mountain bike supervision at Ronan and Noël. Another member of the club is in the spotlight, it is Lionel who tasted his first long distance (Flèche Vélocio de Brantes / 24 hours of Cycling, minimum 360 km). Before closing this instance, Jean-Pierre Vaur announced the end of his mandate as president, the suspense did not last long. Benoit Alléguède will take over the destiny of the club. Ronan Douls will also slow down, but will take care of the licenses; Jean Pierre, the secretariat. The steering committee is enlarged.
The club's ambition is to create a cycling school, the objective should be achieved in 2025.
