The young dancers from the Dôme des Arts school in Rivières (Tarn) shone at the 2024 European competition of the National Dance Confederation, organized at the beginning of November in Italy.

13 dancers from the Dôme des Arts school, based in Rivières, won gold at the European competition of the National Dance Confederation, which took place in Rome at the beginning of November. Divided into two groups, which each competed in two different categories, they finished first each time with a score of 20/20 against French, Italian, Spanish groups…

A consecration after having completed the regional stage in at the start of the year then the national final last May in . Especially since it was the last for the entire group, some dancers were now old enough to go to school.

Maud Maurel, artistic director of the Dôme des Arts, created the choreography for the first group while a trio made up of young dancers aged 14 to 17 had composed theirs themselves.

“It’s a golden year for the Dôme, because we also won the gold medal at the National Choreographic Regards of the French Dance Federation which were held in Montluçon last July,” rejoices Maud Maurel, who adds with malice: “now the hardest part will be to do better for the coming season”.
