In the village hall, during the banquet for the elders of the commune of Luart and Bouër, the municipality honored Marie-Thérèse Leroux and Claude Grignon by presenting them with the regional, departmental and municipal medal of honor at the “grand gold” level for more than 40 years in office.

Marie-Thérèse Leroux was surrounded by her loved ones, the mayor, Alain Cruchet, and the municipal council. Originally from , she has continued, for 41 years, to serve the common interest on the front line, imposing family sacrifices. Through her mandates as municipal councilor, mayor of Luart, departmental councilor and vice-president of this council, a whole period in the life of this trained social worker was celebrated and recounted through speeches noticed and praised by the deputy Jean-Carles Grelier and Roland du Luart, former mayor and senator.

Memories of 1985

Alain Cruchet underlined his attendance at all municipal councils. “ I am very moved and honored by this distinction. I still remember the first municipal councils, in 1985, where there were only four women », concludes Marie-Thérèse Leroux.

Claude Grignon, for his part, was also very involved in the municipal council of the commune of Luart. Elected in 1983, former deputy with a beautiful spirit of tolerance and democracy, fulfilled his mission to serve the general interest with brilliance, generosity of heart and spirit.
