On Monday November 18, 2024, Sam Kerr, iconic captain of the Australian football team, shared news that made his fans melt on social networks. With a series of black and white photos, the 31-year-old star announced that she and her fiancée Kristie Mewis, 33-year-old American player playing for West Ham, were expecting their first child together. In one of the photos, Kerr tenderly points to his partner’s belly. Under these photos posted on Instagram, a tender caption, “the Mewis-Kerr baby is coming in 2025!”
The publication also included an ultrasound showing their future baby. A couple since 2021, Kerr and Mewis announced their engagement in 2023. “She is everything to me.
