Manitou updates its MLT New Ag range – FARM Connexion

Fourteen models in the MLT NewAg range, ranging from 6 to 9 meters in lifting height for a capacity of between 3 and more than 4 tonnes, are evolving to meet user needs.

Some models now benefit from an additional 100 kg increase in capacity. Thus, the name of the models evolves such as the MLT 738 which displays a new capacity of 3.8 tonnes instead of 3.7 tonnes for the previous model MLT 737. The MLT 742 also replaces the previous version (MLT 741) with now 4 .2 tons capacity. We can also point out the arrival of a new 9 meter and 3.7 tonne model, the MLT 937-115. Equipped with a 116 horsepower engine and a torque converter transmission with manual gearbox, its load sensing pump delivers 150 l/min.

To do this, Manitou has revised the design of its boom across the entire range. This new feature makes it possible to integrate new options such as automatic centralized lubrication of the chassis and the boom thanks to the new, wider boom head.

Visibility on the boom has also been revised with the removal of the reel which was necessary with certain options. Now, in 95% of cases, the electrical cables pass inside the boom.

Now available as an option only with automatic regulation, the air conditioning is more efficient and more precise. A new removable filter provides better protection and easier cleaning in very dusty environments. The three current Classic, Premium and Elite finishes still exist (except for the MLT 733 and MLT 937: Classic and Premium only). To this is also added the Platinum finish.

The Intelligent Hydraulics option (“Quick Lift, Return to load, Bucket Shaker”) already available on a large part of the MLT NewAg range, is now available on the compact MLT 630 and MLT 730 models to increase productivity with automated movements of the arrow.

In the cabin, a new, wider armrest and a 7” Vision screen as standard (except for MLT 733/937 models) make driving more pleasant and safer. In addition, it is now possible for customers to benefit from retrofit cameras. They now benefit from a counting system (Smart Counting System) which allows the operator to record the number of buckets filled or dumped either in manual mode or in automatic mode. A popular function for measuring the filling of a truck or mixer.

LED work lights (and optional LED driving lights) are fitted to the MLTs as standard, providing better
lighting while consuming less energy.

The Stop & Start system, which now replaces the Ecostop function, is generalized across the entire MLT NewAg range (excluding MLT 733/937 models). This innovation makes it possible to automatically cut off the engine and the associated hour meter when the machine is idling, without hydraulic activity or movement of the machine, according to a configurable delay of 1 to 30 minutes. Unlike the Ecostop, it is not necessary to turn the key to restart the engine. It allows
a quick restart when the operator interacts with the JSM joystick and/or accelerator pedal.

The mudguards of certain models have been revised with greater width and length. The machine is thus better protected against sludge splashes. The machines are also equipped with a compensation cylinder isolation system which optimizes the robustness of the boom.

The first new generation New Ag models are expected by the end of 2025.
