Paris: French artist Invader exhibits a huge work overlooking Place d'Italie

Hundreds of works with very specific designs are scattered throughout the capital. Recognizable among thousands, the work of the French artist Invader is emulated. It’s a safe bet that his new creation will once again attract curious people from all over the world. While most of his works are often hidden in the Parisian urban landscape, it is impossible to miss the one paying homage to the Place d'Italie (13th arrondissement).

Entitled PA_1525, this green, white and red mosaic extends over the entire facade of a 13th century building. “PA_1525 dominates the Place d’Italie in ,” captions the artist on his Instagram account. A work praised by the mayor of the 13th arrondissement, Jérôme Coumet, on X: “New mural. The very famous artist Invader paid homage to the Place d'Italie with this latest XXL intervention. This work, visible from afar, brings back the Italian sun to us.”

Last February, the most famous and most invisible French street artist unveiled a huge surprise exhibition in République, on the occasion of the installation of his 1,500th mosaic in the capital. His fans then came from all over the world to celebrate their star.

Invader is particularly known since the creation of its application in 2014, with which its fans, “the flashers”, obtain ten to one hundred points by photographing the hexagonal Banksy mosaics with their smartphone. The Frenchman remains a pioneer by choosing to make himself invisible before the mysterious Briton, and his app preceded that of the no less famous Pokémon Go.
