On February 10, 2023 after several days of celebration, at his country house, the comedian took the wheel to go shopping. He was under the influence of drugs. On the road, he then deviated from his trajectory and struck a vehicle coming in the opposite direction.
Results: 3 seriously injured, a 27-year-old woman who lost the baby she was expecting, a 38-year-old man and a 6-year-old child. Because Pierre Palmade is a repeat offender, he faces a double sentence. This means he could get 14 years in prison and €200,000 fine.
He refuses to appear for manslaughter
The hearing opened at 9 a.m. and the comedian was called to the stand. He gave his identity and confirmed that he lived in Bordeaux. He was asked if he agreed to appear for manslaughter. He replied “No… no”. Then, he listened to the facts with which he is accused. Images of the crashed cars were shown to the court. Pierre Palmade looked down.
