This Tuesday, November 19, the son of Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, Marius Borg Høiby, was arrested for rape.
A few months ago, he was arrested for physical and psychological violence against his partner at the time, Rebecca Hellberg. Now, Norwegian police confirm the arrest of Marius Borg Høiby for rape. A scandal which continues to shake the Norwegian royal family since the young man, aged 27, is none other than the son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, and also recalls old setbacks from the past.

Morten Borg, a convict
Born on January 13, 1997, Marius Borg Høiby is the product of the past relationship between Mette-Marit from Norway – called Mette-Marit Tjessem Høiby at the time – and Morten Borg. And although little information has circulated about the latter, we nevertheless know that he is a habitual offender with an inglorious criminal record that includes convictions for violence, drunken driving and drug possession. A dissolute past which had also caused harm to Mette-Marit at the start of his relationship with Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, the Norwegian people criticizing him for not having a smooth enough image desired by the monarchies. “I evolved in an environment where many limits were crossed and I am sorry for that,” she ended up confiding publicly, by way of mea-culpa.
