On October 10, the new Maison RoseUp Bordeaux opened its doors! It is now Sandrine Teysseyre-Bossu who is the director.
While retaining its DNA which has made it successful for 9 years, the new Maison RoseUp Bordeaux now offers a larger space, still in the city center.
Its ambition is to enable women affected by all types of cancer in Gironde and New Aquitaine to break their isolation, improve their quality of life and remain active participants in their journey, from the announcement of the disease, during and after treatments.
The new Maison RoseUp Bordeaux is now more than 200 m2, compared to 120 m2 before, with new spaces and more modularity for:
- develop reception capacity and cope with the increase in the number of women affected by cancer in New Aquitaine : 16,280 new cases of cancer in women each year;
- extend opening hours and encourage the arrival of those who live further away;
- increase the dimensions of this living spaceto encourage informal exchanges; between women, by offering discussion spaces and places conducive to confidentiality;
- offer new supportive care workshops thanks to larger spaces (adapted physical activity, socio-aesthetics, nutrition, well-being, art therapy, etc.).
Sandrine Teysseyre-Bossu succeeds Jenna Boitard and joins this great adventure as director of Maison RoseUp Bordeaux. We present it to you!
After spending several years in the private world (in the field of Management, Human Resources and Organization), Sandrine discovered the associative world. Following an incredible and unexpected meeting with a Professor of cardiology and a researcher in epidemiology, they developed a united and innovative project aimed at creating civic engagement for people in a situation of isolation in order to reduce the loss of autonomy.
This experience was a real revelation for the committed woman that I am, she tells us! It is with the same enthusiasm and a real “crush” that I joined the RoseUp association a few weeks ago. By chance, my arrival coincided with the move into the new Maison RoseUp in Bordeaux…which I really like and which – I have the impression – resembles me!
Made aware of the cause of cancer by a friend who is very dear to me, I hope – with the team – to be able to transmit to the women for whom this place is intended, my pep, my energy and my desire to best respond to their needs. expectations by co-constructing with them the Maison RoseUp Bordeaux of tomorrow.
What a pleasure to add my touch and take part in this great adventure, of which the founders can be very proud!
