VIDEO. XV of FRANCE. How to make a 150kg colossus like Atonio sleep in less than 5 seconds?

Last week, in view of the match against the All Blacks this weekend, the French XV received a rather special guest in Marcoussis.

To share his experience and share the notion of combat and desire, star MMA fighter Benoit St-Denis came to meet the Blues. Not just for a masterclass, but a whole half-day, to see Fabien Galthié's men also train.

Very well integrated into the group, some even took the liberty of asking him to show a specific combat sports technique. To which “BSD” responded with a rear choke on his guinea pig Paul Costes, caught in the thick hands of the former member of the special forces.

But the resident has overall normal dimensions (1m80 for 85kg), some have wondered if this technique would work just as well on a bear. Uini Atonio being the closest thing in the French XV (1m96 for 146kg), it was his turn to pass the guillotine test.

And as Benoit St-Denis assured, in the case of a well-performed technique, it works “even on our friend”. SO ?

Uini indeed suffered and “tapped” as if to indicate his abandonment after only a few seconds. But like the good lodger that he is, the bearded pillar did not fail to tease “BSD” in the process, to the laughter of his teammates, laughing.

A moment of pure fun and sharing that we let you savor in this new episode of Destins Mêlés. Which also builds cohesion and success on the ground…
