Ikea unveils its incredible arbor
In its catalog, Ikea has put on sale a gazebo of the GUNNÖN model. It is a product that you can use throughout the summer to help you stay protected from the sun and its rays that are dangerous for your skin.
It is an arbor that you can install against a wall or above the entrance to your house. You can also combine two arbors in order to protect a larger space. But that’s not all.
This is a strong canvas that resists fading. Thus, it is a product put on sale by Ikea which will retain its color longer over the years. The fabric provides very good protection against the sun’s ultraviolet rays.
And for good reason, it is a product which displays a UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) protection factor of 25+. Which means that it filters almost 96% of ultraviolet rays. The textile is made of polyester (at least 90% of which is recycled).
This is a solid material that is tested and approved for this use. The Ikea firm specified: “The canvas is machine washable and easy to remove from the structure thanks to the hook-and-loop strap system« .
A very useful product in summer
The Swedish brand also specified that “the structure of the arbor was created in epoxy painted steel, an easy-to-maintain material”. In case of wind, you must always remove the canvas from the arbor.
Ikea indicated: “To prolong the life of the gazebo, clean it regularly on the outside and inside, then store it in a dry, cool place, indoors« .
Before adding: “Two people are required for assembly. Plastic clips remain included to secure the gazebo to the lawn. Fixings for other materials are not included ».
To clean the structure, it’s very simple. Simply clean it with a soapy solution. Especially since it does not require maintenance. The textile, for its part, can be machine washed at 40°C maximum with normal treatment.
Chlorination should not be used. Do not tumble dry, do not iron or dry clean. With a length of 233 cm, a width of 238 cm and a height of 235 cmit’s the perfect product.
