Work began this Monday, November 18, 2024 on the RD3 between Sainte-Ménehould and Grange-aux- to prepare the site for the future roundabout. Two traffic lights were put in place this Monday, November 18 in the morning for the first day of work. Traffic is on one lane only and the speed is lowered to 50 km/h a few meters before the lights.

On this first day, workers remove shrubs and other vegetation behind the security barrier in the direction of Grange -aux-Bois towards Sainte-Ménehould. This first stage marks the launch of nearly four months of work to enable the creation of a roundabout on the RD3 to serve the future Intermarché.

The weather will be decisive in the progress of the construction site. “ We hope that the roundabout will be ready at the same time as Intermarché opens. We are going to enter the winter period which is not the easiest for businesses and this work », declared Bertrand Courot, mayor of Sainte-Ménehould, in October 2024 during a municipal council meeting.
