Redwood P and Crestmont E core feature updates

The new ones processeurs Arrow Lake-U from Intel, under the Core Ultra 200U line, are generating a lot of interest with their recently revealed features. These central processing units are intended to low consumption platforms and promise optimized performance.

Characteristics of the “Core Ultra 200U” processors

According to information leaked by @Jaykihn0, the series includes four models, each designed to operate at TDP of 12, 15 and 28W. These processors should prove ideal for mobile devices, where power optimization is paramount.

The flagship model, the Core Ultra 7 265Uwill have 12 hearts and of 14 threads. This architecture includes an arrangement of 2 P-Cores, 8 E-Cores and 2 LP-E cores. The base frequency will reach 3.4 GHzwhile the boost can go up to 5.3 GHz on P-cores.

Other models include the Core Ultra 7 255Uthe Core Ultra 5 235U and the Core Ultra 5 225U. All will share a iGPU Xe-LPG with 4 Xe-cores, a maximum frequency of 2100 MHzet 12 Mo L3 cachewith some vPro versions available.

A notable aspect of these processors is the use of Redwood Cove+ et Crestmont Enhanced (CME) as core architectures. These represent a slight evolution compared to the cores present in chips Meteor Lake « Core Ultra Series 1 ».

It is interesting to note that the architecture of theiGPU is based on the 1st generation Xe-LPGrather than benefiting from the improved Xe-LPG+ architecture, as is the case for the Arrow Lake-H series. The Arrow Lake-U “Core Ultra 200U” is expected for a presentation during the CES 2025offering more information soon.
