What program awaits the candidates during their trip to Ivory Coast?

Serious things begin for the 30 contenders for the title of Miss 2025. On Sunday, the candidates flew to Ivory Coast for the traditional preparation trip. They will be there in the company of Cindy Fabre, director of the competition, and a handful of former winners such as Eve Gilles, Miss France 2024 and Diane Leyre.

A week of relaxation in perspective for young women? Not really. In the days to come, they will explore this country but they will also be evaluated every moment on various qualities and skills. Relaxation, tests… What program awaits the Misses during this trip?

Navigation in the mangrove and making loincloths

After Guyana in 2023, now it’s time for a new destination. “Ivory Coast regularly solicited the Miss France Society for the stay to take place there. In recent years, the priority has been to promote our regions, so the focus was on the DROM COM. This is the first time in West Africa – there have already been stays in Morocco, Tunisia…” explained Cindy Fabre during a press conference in last Friday.

For a week, the 30 candidates will take advantage of their stay to do a little sightseeing. They “will live in total immersion discovering the local culture and natural landscapes”, “experience the art of traveling by taking the time to fully immerse themselves in the cultural and historical richness while savoring the local dishes of the regions », detailed a press release sent in mid-October.

During a busy program, the Misses will notably visit the bay of Grand Béréby or try their hand at making cocoa. “There are a lot of activities, we try to keep surprises for the candidates. This country offers us the chance to discover them and is full of little treasures. The main activities will revolve around biodiversity, there will be navigation in the mangrove, the making of loincloths,” explained Cindy Fabre.

Culture test G and eloquence qualities

For young women, this trip will be an opportunity to build friendships – or rivalries – between them, but also to actively prepare for the election next December. Sports activities await them (in Guyana, it was an introduction to paddle yoga), but also courses to learn how to walk on a podium.

During this stay, they will have to comply with the famous general knowledge test and a dictation, a new feature since last year. Throughout the day, they will also be evaluated on their qualities of eloquence, their ease in public or their sense of camaraderie. Yes, you deserve the Miss France tiara… Because this trip is also (or especially?) the time to stand out and earn first points with members of the jury and a handful of invited journalists. Like Eve Gilles, in 2023.

“We could only spot her. She had a unique profile, remembers Cindy Fabre. The first 24 hours, during the interviews, I was in a corner, I looked at them, I took photos, I admired her and said to myself “wow, she is 20 years old, she dares, she asserts herself, she is determined.” She also had a presence, an elegance which added to all these qualities. 24 hours before, she was a nobody. And there, she confidently answered questions from journalists. »

Which miss will be able to do well this week? Which one will get the maximum points on the culture test G? Which candidate will reveal her dark side during the stay? So many questions to which we will – probably – very quickly have the answers.
