The victory had been beautiful. Sunday November 17, the Etoile Maritime FC football team from La Rochelle brilliantly qualified on penalties for the 8th round of the Coupe de France. The players who play in R2 eliminated Vertou, a Nationale 3 team. The match was held at the François Le Parco stadium in the Mireuil district of La Rochelle. But on the way back, supporters of the La Rochelle team were stoned on rue Germinal, while they were returning home in a city bus. A video posted on social networks shows scuffles at the foot of the bus.
The La Rochelle prosecutor has not yet confirmed that a brawl took place. However, he specifies that the bus was hit by stones while it was stopped at a traffic light. No one was hurt.
An individual, a minor and living in the port city, was arrested. He is currently in police custody for damage to public property. The police are looking for other attackers. There would be at least three.
