Disappearance of Ana Hedao: her husband accused of kidnapping and murder, the evidence is overwhelming

But where is Ana Hedao? Since February 2, the latter, aged 40, has given no sign of life. She was in her Madrid apartment when she mysteriously disappeared. An investigation was quickly opened but nothing revealed more, particularly since the surveillance cameras in his building were covered with spray paint. For the authorities, the guilt of David Knezevich, her husband, is obvious. According to them, he traveled from Miami to Spain with
intended to kill, injure, harass and intimidate his wife and committed a violent crime against her, resulting in her death,” noted Paris
Match.

But what happened? David Knezevich is a 36-year-old businessman living in Florida. He was arrested and indicted for the murder of his wife. Among the charges against him are: kidnapping resulting in death, domestic violence committed abroad resulting in death, as well as murder of an American national on foreign soil. David Knezevich therefore risks the death penalty. However, Ana Hedao’s body was not found, unable to provide any answers to her loved ones.

Disappearance of Ana Hedao: towards a macabre scenario?

David Knezevich is defended by Jayne Weintraub, who maintains her client’s innocence. “There is no evidence that David Knezevich actually kidnapped or killed his wife”she said. However, clues seem to overwhelm the businessman, highlighting the fact that he is indeed behind the disappearance of his wife. He would have in fact bought a plane ticket to go to Türkiye from Miami, only six days before Ana Hedao’s disappearance. He then went to Serbia, his country of origin, to rent a car. He allegedly used the vehicle to travel to Spain.

The car was seen near Ana Hedao’s home by a surveillance camera on the day of the disappearance. It is a Peugeot with tinted windows and the rental company has indicated that the vehicle has traveled more than 7,700 kilometers but also that the windows had been tinted and the license plates had been modified. Clues which therefore suggest that David Knezevich would have traveled all this way to attack his wife. On the day Ana Hedao disappeared, her husband was filmed buying spray paint and masking tape at a hardware store in central Madrid. Elements which are very important in the investigation.

Disappearance of Ana Hedao: a couple who were struggling

According to several people close to the young woman, her relationship with David Kenzevich was not going well. A heated divorce proceeding was underway and they were fighting over several million dollars in real estate. In addition, the evidence seems to show the guilt of the husband who, for his part, pleaded not guilty last June to the kidnapping of his wife. A defense that he intends to repeat.
FBI agents, for their part, affirmed that their case is becoming “increasingly solid” regarding this case.
