Black series for the international space station (ISS). Monday June 24, the American space agency, NASA, announced that the spacewalk of astronauts Tracy C. Dyson and Mike Barratt had been canceled due to a malfunction in their space suit, reports CNN.

The astronauts were in the exit hatch of the ISS and were preparing to exit to carry out work now in space. Removing a faulty electronics box from a communications antenna, to be precise. But when Tracy C. Dyson unplugged her suit and put it into “battery” mode, it started leaking.

NASA concluded that the astronaut’s suit was leaking water from the cooling unit – designed to keep space agents at a comfortable temperature while carrying out their work. The outing of the two men was therefore canceled.

A bad time for NASA

“I’m comfortable, but I’m a little hot,” Tracy C. Dyson said during a NASA livestream, before expressing concern that the water leak had could have affected the electrical connectors. “There is still water flowing. We can assume that water entered this connector, the electrical connector,” he explained.
