Energy: The Algerian Petroleum Institute and TotalEnergies sign a Memorandum of Understanding

The Algerian Petroleum Institute, under the supervision of the Sonatrach group, and TotalEnergies Exploration & Production Algérie have signed a memorandum of understanding, lasting three years, covering the areas of training, skills development and expertise.

This protocol, signed at the headquarters of the Algerian Petroleum Institute in the wilaya of Boumerdès, aims to strengthen and develop human resources in various fields, as well as to develop the technical and professional knowledge of TotalEnergies Exploration & Production Algeria employees. within industrial units in partnership with Sonatrach.

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the General Director of TotalEnergies Exploration & Production Algeria, Moufdi Zakaria Cheikh, and the Director of the Algerian Petroleum Institute, Abdelkader Guenoun.

In his speech on this occasion, Abdelkader Guenoun expressed the full availability of the institute to realize this partnership, which aims to develop cooperation in the field of activities linked to training and the development of human resources in the different areas of the oil and gas value chain.

For his part, Mr. Moufdi Zakaria Cheikh affirmed that the signing of this protocol with the Algerian Petroleum Institute reflects the commitment of TotalEnergies Exploration & Production Algérie to contribute to the development of skills in the energy sector, as well as ‘to facilitate the professional integration of young graduates through various support and training programs.

In this regard, the two parties agreed to launch as soon as possible the organization of training sessions and support programs for young graduates by the Algerian Petroleum Institute, thus contributing to the development of human capital.
