A 20-year-old young man was found dead with his throat cut in the cellars of a building in Saint-Michel-sur-Orge (Essonne), during the night from Thursday to Friday. Five suspects, aged 18 to 22, were arrested shortly after before being placed in police custody, according to a source close to the investigation, confirming information from the Parisian. A sixth suspect was taken into custody this Friday morning.
It was a homeless woman who discovered the victim's body around 2:40 a.m., in the basement of a building in the Bois-des-Roches district. The alert was then given. Emergency services tried to resuscitate the young man, without success. The latter had a stab wound to the throat, as well as three others to the abdomen, leg and side.
Shortly after, the police arrested five suspects who were “near”indicated the Évry public prosecutor's office. Four of them live in Saint-Michel-sur-Orge. The circumstances and motivations of the killer(s) remain unknown at this stage. A murder investigation was opened by the Évry public prosecutor's office, which entrusted the investigations to police officers from the Organized and Specialized Crime Division (DCOS).
“The cellars are often squatted by young people”
A resident of the building, interviewed by The Parisianexpressed his anger after this murder: “The door [donnant
accès à la cave] does not close […] This is the reason why the hall and the cellars are often squatted by young people who come to party here. We found everything: cigarette butts, leftover joints, nitrous oxide cartridges… We even saw some sleeping on the stairs.”.
