A real drama. Thursday October 3, 2024, Michel Blanc died at the age of 72 at Saint-Antoine hospital in Paris. He had come for a routine examination in a radiology office when he developed angioedema. The actor, revealed in the Splendid troupe, suffered several cardiac arrests before taking his last breath, reported Le Parisien the day after his death. After the sad announcement of his death, the members of Splendid, one by one, expressed their great sadness at losing a friend dear to their hearts. Particularly close to Gérard Jugnot, Michel Blanc recounted their meeting on school benches, in April 2024 in the columns of Paris Match: “I was at the Pasteur high school (in Neuilly-sur-Seine) sitting in class next to Gérard. He already wanted to be a film director, so he took me with him to the Chaillot cinema library to see films. Very quickly, I understood that I wanted to be an actor. him and me.”
