For the seventh time in its history since 1991, US Avranches (Manche, N2) will experience a Coupe de France match overseas. It will be on the occasion of the 7the round, on the lawn of AS Dragon (R3), in Tahiti, on the night of Saturday November 16 to Sunday November 17, 2024, at 1 a.m., metropolitan time. A most exotic meeting which did not happen by chance: the USA applied for such a trip in order to perpetuate a tradition established for decades by its emblematic president, Gilbert Guérin, who died in October 2023. A much more important match than it seems, allowing for closer ties within the locker room and a real sporting chance of reaching the 8e round of the competition.
