This bride has bad memories of her wedding: although she had opted for a vegan menu, guests did not hesitate to order pizzas during the ceremony.
On Reddit, a 28-year-old bride wonders if she was wrong to impose a 100% vegan menu on her guests after her brother and cousins ruined the wedding meal.
In her message, she explained that she and her husband had decided to surprise their friends and family with a “completely vegan wedding dinner».
«We deliberately didn't mention that the food was vegan on the invitations, because we wanted people to enjoy it without prejudice. Each dish was designed to be delicious and satisfying, regardless of dietary preferences».

The couple “spent months» to work with a chef to create a “gourmet meal» consisting of five dishes, such as mushroom turnovers or truffle risotto. In total, the couple spent almost 15,000 dollars (around 14,195 euros) just on food.
However, things didn't go as planned for the couple.
«Pizza Time»
While the wedding ceremony went off without a hitch, the bride noticed her brother Tom had disappeared during the reception, before returning with his cousins carrying 20 large boxes of pizza.
They began to distribute them to the guests, shouting: “ Real food for everyone who wants it!» , she remembers.
«I was mortified. The caterers looked so embarrassed (…) When I confronted Tom, he told me that my aunt had sent him a message saying that 'all the food was just vegetables' and that they 'don't couldn't let people starve at a wedding'».
According to her, the pizzas ended up “ eclipse » the « expensive gourmet meal » of the couple. She even noted that her mother-in-law posted on Facebook that the wedding had been “ saved by pizza » because the bride had “ tried to force everyone to eat rabbit food ».

Internet users are unanimous
The least we can say is that this pizza order greatly affected the young woman.
«I ended up crying in the bathroom and my husband asked Tom and the cousins to leave. It caused a scene, and now half the family calls us stuck up and says we ruined our own marriage by 'imposing our beliefs' on everyone», Detailed the author of the message.
Without real surprise, its publication caused many Internet users to react. Some of them believe that the bride and groom were wrong to have kept the menu secret.
«Honestly, there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to serve a vegan meal at your wedding, but you didn't disclose it because you KNEW people were going to have reactions about it. A warning would have been the best thing to do», Wrote a user.
And you, what do you think?
