The information was published by the Western Mail and dates back to an incident that occurred that very morning. “The office secretary received a phone call between 10 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. from a patient whom I had been following for 4 or 5 years but not for a month”says Dr. Florian Céveau.
“I've killed people before and I'll happily take on his case.”
“He had been insulting and threatened us several times. He had also insulted the CHNDS secretaries. I had made a report to the council of the order. I contacted him on the phone to offer to meet him but he refused, told me that he had nothing against me but had accused our secretary of incompetence and insulted her. So I gave up following him. »
This Thursday morning, the patient in question called to request his medical records but demanded to be followed by another doctor in the practice, which the doctors refused. “As a matter of principle, we do not follow the patient that a colleague refuses to follow. He then completely twisted, insulted our secretary and said to him: “You tell that young idiot Dr. Céveau that I will come back this afternoon to beat the shit out of him. I've killed people before and I'll happily take on his case. He doesn’t scare me.” »
Complaint for contempt
Busy in consultation at that time, Dr. Céveau knew nothing of this incident until he returned to his secretariat before leaving for a visit. “The cabinet secretary told me in tears what had happened. My colleagues and I were helpless. We are here to help people and we are not used to this type of incident. My two colleagues, the secretary and I called the gendarmerie and decided to close the office. »
Interviewed at the beginning of the afternoon at the gendarmerie, after a visit by the Nueil-les-Aubiers gendarmes to the office in the morning, the four colleagues filed a complaint for contempt or violence against a health professional. The office closure is extended until Monday morning.
