The conductor Yvan Cassar is the mastermind of the tour Johnny Hallyday Symphonic, the objective being with this major project to bring to life on stage the artistic universe of the famous rocker, by making his voice heard accompanied by 100 musicians. All his biggest titles are covered. The first concert took place at the Acropolis in Nice in 2022. France 3 is broadcasting it this Friday June 21 at 9:10 p.m.

Let us also remember that Johnny Hallyday The Exhibition permanently closed its doors on June 16 in Paris. The voice of the audio guide was that of Jean Reno, one of his best friends. The star of the film The big wheatI gladly agreed to participate in this project. But it moved him a lot, as he explained last February, when he was Bernard Montiel’s guest on the show 1 hour with…broadcast on RFM.

Johnny Hallyday, “Such a wonderful man”

“The second day, it was difficult. At the beginning, you have your lines, you do your work and you see the images passing by but eventually, they come off the screen. And the second day, boom, they hit me with the images.” the actor said. What particularly upset Jade Hallyday’s godfather was seeing the rocker’s office again, where he died: “There was a moment of silence. I stopped because I couldn’t anymore. I turned to the window, looked at the studio, everyone was like ‘wow’.”

As a reminder, Jean Reno was one of the rare people to have visited Johnny in his house in Marne-la-Coquette, just before he took his last breath. “You held his hand and told him you’d see him for Christmas…”, had reminded him in particular of Bernard Montiel. “It was stupidity. He knew like me that this was the end of the road and that it was ending.”, had then responded with emotion Jean Reno, who only remembers good memories with the interpreter of Married, who finally died on December 5, 2017, a few days before the end of year holidays: “He was such a wonderful man. I haven’t had any bad times with him. I only had the white bread.”
