Google released the first Google TV Streamer update

More than a month after its launch, Google has started releasing the first update to the Google TV Streamer.

Here's what we know

The device, which runs Android TV OS 14, received a 35.35MB update with build number UTT3.240625.001.K9. The changelog only mentions “bug fixes and performance improvements”, with no mention of new features or security updates.

The current security patch is from August 2024, which is older than the September patch that Chromecast received with Google TV in October. Another update should be released in the coming weeks if the Google TV Streamer follows the same update frequency as the Chromecast. Users who installed the update have not reported any significant changes or fixes.
