In addition, it integrates an NPU offering a modest power of 16 TOPs, making it one of the first desktop processors to include this functionality.
The Ryzen 5 8600G is now priced at $199, down from its launch price of $229. It offers 6 cores and 12 threads, with an 8 CUs iGPU. This model also features the NPU of 16 TOPs.
The Ryzen 5 8500G is available for $159, down from $179 previously, a reduction of $20. Unlike higher models, it does not have NPU. Based on the “Phoenix 2” architecture, it combines two “Zen 4” cores and four “Zen 4c” cores, totaling 6 physical cores and 12 threads. Its RDNA 3 iGPU only has 4 CUs.
