The Madagascar music school in Guise is the winner of the “Rehabilitate equipment” prize, as part of the 2024 Regional Wood Construction Prize in Hauts-de-France.

Tuesday June 11, 2024, the regional forestry sector, led by Fibois Hauts-de-France, gathered at the FRD-Codem during the “Biosourced for buildings in Hauts-de-France” day to hand-deliver the trophies to the winners of the 2024 Regional Wood Construction Prize (PRCB).

Each year, the PRCB highlights the excellence of the regional forestry sector in

rewarding remarkable wooden works.

These prices aim to reward all types of wooden buildings (public and private) delivered in France according to different criteria which are:

  • Architectural quality and landscape integration of the project;
  • Environmental approach and energy performance;
  • Creativity and innovation;
  • Performance technique ;
  • Economic approach;
  • Use of local species.

The jury for the 2024 Regional Wood Construction Prize was made up of Angélique Sternheim, president of the jury – 2023 “1st prize” winner and architect at BPLUB ARCHITECTURES, Florian Venant, industrialization project manager and development of new economic sectors at URH Hauts -de-France, Henry-Luc Sprimont, president of CAPEB Nord, Éric Chauvet, regional trade facilitator at FFB Hauts-de France, Guillaume Delannoy, industrial development and study manager at FRD – CODEM, Alexandra Pitz, architect at CROA Hauts -de-France, Nadège Erisson, HR and partnerships director at Toerana Habitat and Nicolas Guezel, sustainable building technical referent at CD2E.

This year, 23 projects responded to the call for applications and after deliberation, the jury designated 7 winners.
