While FC Nantes is going through a major crisis of results, Antoine Kombouaré's situation is weakening week after week. But for the Nantes locker room, he is still the man for the job. One of his attackers confirms this.
Returning to the business of FC Nantes, Antoine Kombouaré managed to miraculously save the club from a descent into Ligue 2. The 2024-2025 financial year is however more complicated and in particular the autumn, with a dark series of 8 matches without the lesser victory. Supported by Waldemar Kita, Antoine Kombouaré however remains in danger…
Kadewere supports Kombouaré
Without a solution, do the Nantes players still have confidence in their coach? Yes, answers Tino Kadewere openly, interviewed by Eurosport: “He’s a great coach. He doesn't hide things from his players. If he has something to tell you, he'll be direct. I like honest coaches. Even if sometimes you feel like you had a good match, he will point out areas for improvement. I have progressed since his arrival”.
A big contract that protects him
This speech is consistent with the comments of Antoine Kombouaré's other players after the defeat against RC Lens (3-2). The locker room still seems united and ready to continue with the coach. A coach protected by an “imposing” contract. Kombouaré has in fact extended for two seasons after remaining in Ligue 1, with an XXL salary, estimated at 100,000 euros. The FCN cannot afford financial madness in the current context.
