The LFP disciplinary committee has decided to investigate the case of the projectile received by journalist Ambre Godillon during the L1 match between OM and Auxerre.
Last November 8, OM hosted AJA at the Vélodrome stadiumfor a surprising domestic rout (1-3) and a sad incident observed just before the break. While she was at the edge of the field, ready to collect reactions from the players at half-time, DAZN journalist Ambre Godillon was hit in the face by a projectile.
If the Web quickly caught fire, denouncing a possible attack on an assumed supporter of PSGvictim of the squabble which pits Marseille and Parisian supporters against each other, OM hastened to broadcast to the media present at the stadium images of the incident showing the hazardous trajectory of the said projectile, reaching the face of the young woman after bouncing off a tarpaulin.
Verdict on November 27
The Marseille club’s thesis, despite the apologies presented and the promise of investigations, is clear: Ambre Godillon was not directly targeted. The latter, however, remains convinced of having been knowingly targeted, as she exposed again on Monday on a set of the L’Equipe channel. And DAZN to take the same line by reserving the possibility of future appeals.
This Wednesday, it is the turn of the disciplinary committee to take up the file; the disciplinary body of the Professional Football League announcing “ an instruction regarding the incident that occurred during the Olympique de Marseille-AJ Auxerre match ». « The decision will be made at the end of the session on Wednesday November 27, 2024, at 6 p.m., during which the instructor will submit his report », specifies today’s press release. The projectile in question had come down not from a bend but from the high bays of Jean-Bouin, one of the side stands of the Vélodrome stadium.
