A letter found at home
Early this Tuesday afternoon, the police were notified by the father of one of the children. Arriving on site, the police discovered the lifeless bodies of two boys, aged 2 and 11, and a girl, aged 13. The tragedy took place at the family home, in a house on the edge of the woods, above the departmental road which leads to Taninges, a mountain town of 3,500 inhabitants, about 50 km east of Geneva. .
Stab wounds are found on the children, from a blended family. Their 45-year-old mother is missing. And quickly, the investigators favored the theory of infanticide. According to Le Dauphiné Libéré, this depressed woman left a letter at her home before fleeing. A major search effort was deployed to try to find her quickly. Without success, for the moment.
